Value Your Home-Based Business To Assure your Success

The first step to turning your home-based business into a successful mega sewing business is:

"Value yourself and your work will have value"

For those who pursue a career in building a sewing business you must always place value on yourself and the work you do. Your sewing as an art form, few people have this talent today. You are the artist whether you have a home-based business, workroom or cottage shop.

When I started my business years ago sewing was not looked upon as art it was a necessity for putting on buttons and mending family clothing.

I was among thousands that could sew, but only a few established a home-business. In my generation everyone wanted the executive position, being a stay at home mom and working from home was not "Vogue".

Opening a sewing workroom, I knew I would not get rich over night and it would take a lot of work to grow a client base, but my goals were clearly in place and soon my business was established.

One of my Motto's in was "Keep the customer happy". Make what they want, make it very well, meet the deadline and deliver with the confidence, that you have a job, well done.

I was never without work. My willingness to please the client established a very successful business. You can do that also.

Learn the "do's", of business, in order to avoid the pitfalls and get your home-based sewing business started on firm grounding principles.

Get organized to prevent frustration. Have a business plan. What are your goals, what do you want for your future, what is your vision?

If you are a one person workroom, don’t do it all, you will quickly become overwhelmed. Specialize in a few treatments and do them very well. Your clients will be pleased and you will earn a higher dollar. When your business grows larger and you employ others, then offer it all, "Spread the wealth".

Today people are establishing home businesses in record numbers. Only a few are building the, much in demand, sewing business. Even fewer are developing sewing skills; hence the demand for professional fabricators in the future will be great.

I am Patty and I encourage you to Sew Seams and Reap a Harvest of Clients! Be in demand and always be your best!
