What Roman Shade Supplies should I Keep Stocked?

Roman Shade supplies are small and require little stocking space.

The picture below shows basic stock items. Items listed are averaged using The Rowley Company as the guide line for amounts and prices.

1. Lift Cord 1.4mm 100-1000 ft roll.
2. Roman Shade Rings 1000 pk.
3. Screw Eyes 100/bag
4. Cord Locks (optional)
5. Cord Cleat #10 plastic
6. Cord Drop Tassels #25/bag

This list can be kept in a storage space no larger that a shoe box. The price for all averages $35-$40. So you can see many roman shades can be made from a small amount of supplies, your expenses are minimal for such a large return.

The Screw Eye Driver

I recommend this tool, it saves so much time, no reason to pre-drill and fits and standard chuck or kwik release chuck adapter.

Trust me when I say your fingers will thank you. This trusty little tool can be purchased from the Rowley Company.

Pin Bowl

That is what I call it "Pin Bowl". Actual technical name is a magnetic nut and screw bowl.

If you have ever had a bowl of pins spill and find your self on your knees picking up each pin you will see the need for this bowl.

They can be purchased at any supply store for mechanical tools.

I encourage you to make your first Roman Shade, if you have already made a shade and are pleased with the way it turned out, you are the expert at that shade.

Try again only this time make one for someone else.
